It is ongoing : Mr Clément Beaune, French Minister in charge of transportation, announced the launch of the future single nationwide transportation ticket that will enable travelers to use all public transport networks in France, with one unique device.

Thus, the numerous transportation cards and applications, headaches to know where and how to pay for a ticket should become outdated soon.

On February 7and 8 2023, during the Hackathon “tomorrow’s ticket”, ten teams worked hard, with enthusiasm and creativity and results we presented in front the jury, chaired by Mr Clément Beaune.

Represented by Salif Diané, Metrolys is part of one of the two teams which solution, the “Passe LEM” (LEM for “Liberté Egalité Mobilités”, ie almost like the French Republic motto “Liberté Egalité Fraternité”) was selected by the jury to be developed, experimented and launched nationwide.

Our project’s main principles: relying on their future “mobility personal account”, with a,unique card or a mobile application, travelers will be able to use all public transport means, without having to think about preliminary purchase constraint. Easy and inclusive, the “Passe LEM” is a tool that will contribute to increase the modal share of public transport and, thus, reduce the impact of our travels on the environment.

Beyond the “Passe LEM”, all good ideas raised during the hackathon will be considered and taken into account.

Both winning teams will benefit from an incubator process organized by the AIT (Agency for Innovation in Transportation) that will support the development and implementation of the solution(s).

Announced schedule:

  • A first experiment by the end of 2023
  • A nationwide launch within two years

Mobility everywhere, for everyone is possible.
