Happy birthday Nouvelle-Aquitaine Mobilités !

On November 14^th, to celebrate its 5th anniversary, NAM gathered in Angoulême the mobility ecosystem which enabled discussions and debates about MaaS, transport stakes and discover the Modalis mobile application.

Thanks to Marco Kartman, Business Innovator, the audience had the chance to discover the Dutch public transport distribution system engine by the Translink company. This system can be summarized as follows: simplicity, simplicity and simplicity for the benefit of the traveler, with the OVpay service.

Further to a discovery travel in July 2024, on this Internet site, Metrolys had already shared its return on experience after having met Translink and tested the OV-chipkaart and OVpay services on a large part of the Netherlands, Marco made us the honour to come in Angoulême and present in person the Translink value proposition.

In the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, Nouvelle-Aquitaine Mobilités public organisation ambitions to unify the distribution of the public transport modes, making them more accessible to customers for the end to end travels within the whole geography.

Challenges and important and numerous since they are:

• Political: public organisations that must be guided towards a common project
• Operational: operators to coordinate
• Technological: physical and digital distribution channels that must issue tickets that can be validated and controlled on all networks
• Relationship: communication and change management actions to be done towards customers and public transport staff

“At the heart of the engine”, Metrolys supports Nouvelle-Aquitaine Mobilités in this project, that is an innovation in France.
