Context : As part of the opening of regional rail services to competition, national and regional transport authorities must ensure service continuity and prevent disruptions in passengers’ interregional rail journeys.

Actions and Deliverables Carried Out by Our Consultant: 

1. Conducted a comprehensive review of the ticketing functionalities provided by the regional transport distribution systems (rail and coach) across the 12 metropolitan regions of France
2. Identified target architectures and evolution roadmaps for regional systems by 2030, including the functionalities enabling interregional interoperability
3. Proposed an action plan to be validated by both national and regional Public Transport Authorities (PTAs)
